Melting is the most important process to determine the quality of special metals
and divided into Primary melting, Refining, Casting process.
The primary melting facilities are Induction Melting(IM), Vacuum Induction Melting(VIM), and Plasma Arc Cold Hearth Melting (PACHM).
As refining equipment, we have Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD), Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR)

HVM INGOT MAKING PROCESS
Vacuum Induction Melting
A melting furnace in vacuum using electromagnetic induction.
A furnace that dissolves metals in vacuum and minimizes the loss of alloying elements by blocking pollutants from surrounding environment and removing gases and oxygen contained in metals.
It is used for melting of high purity metals and special alloys.
Vacuum Arc Remelting
Secondary melting vacuum arc refining furnace.
It is a facility to produce highly purified ingots from ingot or briquette in Primary Melting by removing impurities such as non-metallic inclusions and harmful gas through dissolving work which generates arc in vacuum
It is mainly used in the manufacture of Super alloys, Titanium and Titanium alloys and Super Clean Steel containing elements that are highly reactive with high melting point metals
Plasma Arc Cold Hearth Melting
PACHM has high melting efficiency and no impurity contamination by using high heat source of arc plasma.
It controlls high pressure to reduce oxidation pollution as much as possible, High quality ingots can be manufactured by dissolving titanium and titanium alloy scraps.
Electric furnace using electromagnetic induction from the atmosphere.
It is an electric furnace that uses high frequency induction to maximize energy efficiency and dissolves by electromagnetic stirring action.
Since the heat generated from the heating body itself, melting efficiency is high
It is useful for dissolving special metals because of uniform heating and easy output control
Argon Oxygen Decarburization
In AOD process, the molten metal is formed by IM and transferred to vessel for AOD.
It is refined (decarburization, desulfurization) process by blowing argon and oxygen mixture gas from bottom of furnance
Used for manufacturing stainless steel or special steel
Manufacturing 2 ton, 5 ton, 6 ton, 10 ton, 12 ton ingot
